Learn how to treat lupus symptoms the correct way!
Anti-nuclear-antibody positivity is a hallmark of lupus, which occurs when your body’s immune system attacks its own cells, but not all people with symptoms of lupus have ANA+, making this condition difficult to diagnose.
Symptoms can include any combination of the following:
Most doctors will perform an autoimmune panel, looking for antinuclear antibodies (ANA). Unfortunately the ANA+ does not tell the entire story, because oftentimes individuals will have lupus symptoms for many years before their laboratory values become abnormal. Also, just because you have ANA+, does not mean you always have lupus, which makes the diagnosis even more confusing. Its no wonder that many medical professionals, and rheumatologists have a difficult time with this.
In many healthcare settings there tends to be an overemphasis on running tests and prescribing medications, when the real focus should be on correctly avoiding the triggers early on, so that vital time is not lost.
Oftentimes with the right tools and the right strategies, medications can be avoided altogether and you can live a normal life—disease free, in a matter of weeks.
